DR. JEREMY RICE

Dr. Jeremy Rice is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon who holds a duel degree in both medicine and dentistry. He is originally from the North Hills and is a graduate of North Allegheny School District. He continued his studies at Penn State University earning a Bachelor’s Degree and then went on to graduate from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) where he earned his medical degree (D.O.). Following Medical school, he completed a surgical internship at Allegheny General Hospital. Dr. Rice then went on to obtain his dental degree (DMD) from Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, he completed his training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Allegheny General Hospital. Since completing his residency, Dr. Rice has been practicing in Clarion, Clearfield and Glenshaw PA.

 

Dr. Rice gives back by regularly traveling to Honduras where his family operates the Rice Foundation. The Rice Foundation provides charity medical and dental services for people who are in desperate need and do not have economic and/or physical access to them. The Rice Foundation sends medical brigades to the clinic from all over the United States. Additionally, the clinic serves as a maternity ward for the community. The Rice Foundation has also started a school for the local children and has done a number of water projects.

 

Dr. Rice devotes his free time to his wife and four young children. His wife Casey Moffa, is a North Hills High School, Penn State University, and PCOM graduate. She currently practices as a Hematologist and Oncologist with the Allegheny Health Network.

DR. DANIEL KIRKPATRICK

Dr. Daniel Kirkpatrick grew up in Missouri where he earned his Bachelor of Science, with honors, at Missouri State University. After completing his undergraduate work, he was accepted to the University of Missouri – Kansas City, School of Dentistry where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2017.  Dr. Kirkpatrick then completed a one-year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Cincinnati. He concluded his training at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh through a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

 

Dr. Kirkpatrick’s professional interests focus on wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, general anesthesia, bone grafting, dentoalveolar surgery, corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery, treatment of benign cysts and tumors of the head and neck, obstructive sleep apnea, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Kirkpatrick is extensively trained in computer technology, virtual surgical planning and 3D printing to aid in creating and executing treatment related to implant, orthognathic, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and facial reconstructive surgery.

 

Dr. Kirkpatrick devotes most of his off time to his family. His wife, Emily, graduated from Fairview High School in Fairview, PA. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from Slippery Rock University. Dr. Kirkpatrick is dedicated to a healthy,  active lifestyle and during his free time, he enjoys running, cycling, cooking and golfing.

LEIGH – Lead Surgical Assistant

Leigh is Dr. Rice’s and Dr. Kirkpatrick’s assistant. She is DAANCE certified and joined Rivers Oral Facial and Implant Surgery in 2021 with 28 years of oral surgery experience. Leigh’s calm and comforting nature is a special gift that ensures a peaceful experience for our patients. She is the office “go-to” person for all the little details (If we need anything, Leigh will make it happen). Leigh resides in Shaler with her husband, 2 daughters, and her dog, Maverick. When Leigh isn’t working, she enjoys escaping to her camp, cruising, and anything beach related.

ALYSON – Surgical Assistant

Alyson is EFDA certified and joins Rivers Oral Facial and Implant Surgery with 7 years of dental experience. Aly started her dental career under the direction of Dr. Jeff Rice in DuBois and is originally from Punxsutawney (home of the infamous groundhog!). Aly now lives in McCandless with her Kitty, Trixie (her beloved Goldendoodle, Nala, still lives in Punxy). When Alyson isn’t caring for our patients with her warm and bubbly personality, she enjoys travelling, spending time with family & friends and shopping.

DANA BURLEY – Practice Manager

Dana Burley has a B.S. in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.S. in Professional Leadership from Carlow University with a concentration in Training and Development. Dana is certified in medical billing and health claims examining and has 20+ years of experience in healthcare administration and revenue cycle management. Before joining Rivers Oral Surgery, Dana worked in the pharmaceutical and diagnostic imaging fields.

 

Dana devotes her free time to family events and school activities for her 3 teenage children. She and her husband, Devon, enjoy supporting their children as they participate in sports, marching band and theater.

MICHELE – Front Desk

Michele is our front office receptionist and joins Rivers Oral Facial and Implant Surgery with 10 years of oral surgery reception experience. Michele is the caring and friendly voice on the phone as well as the endearing person who greets you at the office when you arrive for your appointment. Every patient is a priority to Michelle, and it shows.

Michele lives in McCandless with her husband and dog, Layla. When Michele isn’t working, she enjoys long walks with Layla, crafts, gardening and cooking.

Erin – Front Desk

Erin has over twenty years of experience in the medical field as a Medical Receptionist and as a back office Medical Assistant. She graduated from Point Park University with a BS in Business, and also has an Associate Degree in Medical Assisting. Erin resides in North Hills with her husband and two children. She enjoys spending time with her family and supporting her children in their various activities.
